Job summary

Avalon Senior Living in Indianapolis, IN is seeking an Activities Assistant / Driver to coordinate and execute programs that enrich residents’ lives. The role includes hands-on activity participation and transporting residents to appointments, working closely with the Life Engagement Director.

We are seeking a dedicated Activities Assistant / Driver.The Activities Assistantis responsible for coordinating and executing programs and activities designed to enhance the quality of life for residents. This role involves hands-on participation in activities, providing logistical support, and ensuring a vibrant and engaging community environment.This also includes driving residents to and from appointments when needed.

• Assist in implementing diverse activities promoting physical, social, emotional, spiritual and intellectual well-being of the residents
• Foster positive relationships with residents throughinteraction and engagement
• Engage in events that bring residents and their families together for social engagement
• Assist with maintaining attendance records and inventory of supplies as needed
• Work closely with Life Engagement Director to coordinate and deliver comprehensive resident care and engagement
• Assist in coordinating transportation for scheduled activities and resident appointments
• Encourage resident participation in activities and provide individualized support as needed
• Adhere to all health and safety guidelines and procedures
• Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures

Education/ Experience Requirements:

• Understand and uphold the policies and procedures established by Triple Crown Senior Living
• Work independently, maintain confidentiality and professionalism, and be a positive leader
• Demonstrate practical interpersonal skills as well as sound judgment and good decision-making skills
• Maintain good working relationships with residents and co-workers
• Proficiency in basic computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office)
• Sit for long periods
• Willingness to perform additional duties as assigned
