Job summary

The Residence at Willow Grove in Willow Grove, PA is seeking an Activities Assistant to lead daily activities, events, and one-on-one resident engagement. Starting pay is $15.00 per hour with full-time and part-time schedules, dayshift, and alternating weekends.

You will work with seniors across assisted living and memory care settings, fostering a welcoming, creative environment and helping residents stay active, connected, and enriched each day.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or GED.
• Valid driver’s license is required.
• Friendly, outgoing, dependable, and creative.
• Passion for working with older adults.
• Strong communication skills and ability to multitask.
• Experience with seniors, activities, recreation, hospitality, or customer service preferred.
• Ability to pass pre-employment background checks, assessment, and drug test.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily activities, games, crafts, music programs, exercise classes, and social events.
• Encourage resident participation and build meaningful relationships.
• Spend one-on-one time with residents based on their interests.
• Plan, organize, and prepare community events and celebrations.
• Decorate and prepare activity spaces for programs and occasions.
• Support resident engagement in assisted living and memory care settings.
• Assist with resident outings and transportation as needed.
• Create a welcoming, positive, and engaging environment throughout the community.

What You'll Do:

• Lead and participate in engaging daily activities, games, crafts, music programs, exercise classes, and social events
• Encourage resident participation and build meaningful relationships
• Spend one-on-one time with residents based on their individual interests and preferences
• Assist with planning, organizing, and preparing community events and celebrations
• Help decorate and prepare activity spaces for programs and special occasions
• Support resident engagement in both assisted living and memory care settings
