Job summary

Complete Care is seeking an energetic Activities Assistant to transform daily life of residents through art, music, and meaningful connections. You’ll design and lead programs, from painting workshops to therapeutic social hours, acting as a curator of joyful experiences.

Collaborate with the Activities Director to brainstorm and execute events, manage supplies, and document participation to support holistic resident care.

Qualifications

• Creative background in art, music, or therapeutic recreation.
• Ability to lead groups with energy and teamwork.
• Experience in long-term care or similar setting preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with elderly.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs for event setup.

How You’ll Make an Impact

• Creative Program Leadership: Design and implement group and one-on-one programs—from art therapy and live music sessions to cognitive games that foster social interaction and joy.

• Collaborative Planning: Partner with the Activities Director to brainstorm and execute "outside-the-box" events and seasonal celebrations.

• Clinical Collaboration: Keep accurate records of participation and share observations with the nursing team to ensure well-rounded care.

What You’ll Bring

• A Creative Soul: An artistic background or experience in music, art, or therapeutic recreation is highly valued.

• Energy & Leadership: A proven ability to lead groups with enthusiasm and work effectively both independently and as a team.

• Experience: Previous experience in long-term care or a similar setting is preferred.
