Job summary

Shorehaven Incorporated in Wisconsin seeks an energetic Activity Coordinator who loves seniors and aims to enrich their daily lives. The role focuses on planning and executing daily group and individual programs for residents, including memory care support and dementia-friendly activities.

The position runs on a two-week schedule totaling about 75 hours, typically Monday through Friday with alternating Mondays 11:00-7 and every sixth Saturday.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of planning and implementing activity programs for seniors.
• Experience with memory care is preferred.
• Strong organizational and communication abilities are required.

Job description

This position is a great match for an enthusiastic and energetic individual with a heart for seniors and the desire to make a difference in their lives. Experience with seniors with dementia-related disease and a creative side is a plus.

This position is scheduled for 75 hours in a two-week period, typically working Monday-Friday. The schedule includes working every other Monday from 11:00-7 and every 6th Saturday.

Job Duties:

• Plan, evaluate and execute daily group and individual activity programs to meet the needs and interests of residents.
• Encourage participation and lead residents in group exercise, crafts, games, etc.
• Assist in planning and preparing materials and developing the monthly calendars.
• Assist with special events.

Qualifications:

• Knowledge acquired in a four-year high school education or equivalent
• Experience working in a senior living environment required, memory care experience preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to work with people with dementia-related disease.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Valid WI driver license and good driving record required.
• CBRF certification preferred.
• Experience working in a senior living environment required, memory care experience preferred.
