Shorehaven is seeking an Activity Assistant - CBRF to plan and lead engaging activities for residents, including group exercises, crafts, and games, tailored to interests and abilities.

The role requires a high school education, experience in a senior living environment, and memory care familiarity. A valid Wisconsin driver license is required; CBRF certification is preferred. Starting rate is $17/hour, with a comprehensive benefits package.

Activity Assistant - CBRF

This position is a great match for an enthusiastic and energetic individual with a heart for seniors and the desire to make a difference in their lives. Experience with seniors with dementia-related disease and a creative side is a plus. This position is scheduled for 75 hours in a two-week period, typically working Monday-Friday. The schedule includes working every other Friday from 11:00-7 and every 6th Saturday.

Job Duties

• Plan, evaluate and execute daily group and individual activity programs to meet the needs and interests of residents.
• Encourage participation and lead residents in group exercise, crafts, games, etc.
• Assist in planning and preparing materials and developing the monthly calendars.
• Assist with special events.

Qualifications

• Knowledge acquired in a four-year high school education or equivalent
• Experience working in a senior living environment required, memory care experience preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to work with people with dementia-related disease.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Valid WI driver license and good driving record required.
• CBRF certification preferred.
• Experience working in a senior living environment required, memory care experience preferred.
