Job summary

Rose Garden Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, located at 1579 Freehold Road, Toms River, NJ, is seeking two part-time Activities Assistants to support residents through engaging programs and social activities. The role emphasizes compassion and creativity in planning activities such as Morning Coffee Social, Exercise Class, Arts & Crafts, Bingo, and one-on-one room visits.

• Experience working with adult population is ideal.
• Must be compassionate and understanding of residents with mental and physical limitations.
• Creative, hands-on, and able to offer solutions and adaptations.
• Team player who can also lead a group of residents independently.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise recreational programs (Morning Coffee Social, Exercise Class, Arts & Crafts/Painting, Cooking demonstrations, Bingo).
• Conduct one-on-one room visits with Residents.
• Encourage resident participation and promote socialization.
• Provide compassionate care and adapt activities to resident abilities.
• Work well with a team and take initiative when needed.

It is not required, but ideal that the candidate has experience working with the adult population. As an Activities Assistant the job duties will include leading and supervising recreational programs, such as Morning Coffee Social, Exercise Class, Arts & Crafts/Painting programs, Cooking demonstrations, Bingo, and conduct one-on-one Room visits with Residents.
