Job summary

Majestic Care of South Bend is seeking an Activities Assistant to coordinate and participate in person-specific activity programming, including one-to-one interventions, small group facilitation, and large group presentations to engage residents.

Responsibilities include using the environment to provide comfort and stimulation, building a sense of community, leading activities, incorporating pet, music, and art therapies, decorating for events, posting monthly calendars, and maintaining

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Activity Assistant Certification preferred.
• CNA certification preferred.

• Lead and participate in individual and group activities.
• Utilize a variety of models to achieve individualized programming such as pet therapy, music therapy, art therapy, etc.

• Develop and post monthly calendar as a planning resource for residents and families.
• Participate in recreational programs for residents confined to their rooms.
• Promote volunteer efforts in the community.
• Maintain records of activities and attendance.
