Schedule

5:00 PM - 9:30 PM one weekday per week (Monday and Friday preferred) and two full weekends (both Saturday and Sunday) per month

Essential Functions

  • Supervision of participants in evening and weekend recreation and leisure programming to ensure a positive experience
  • Participate in leading activities, clubs, electives, and excursions
  • Provide elective course instruction in the categories around the T.E.A.C.H. framework as needed, including subbing for elective instructors as needed
  • Educate participants in the surrounding areas of Richfield, Bloomington, and Edina, including ongoing education in public transportation for programming to support independence
  • Provide transportation and support for scheduled shuttles to grocery stores, YMCA, etc.
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • High School Diploma required, some college or Associate's degree preferred
  • Experience working with adults with learning disabilities is preferred
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills and excellent oral and written communication skills are necessary
  • A valid Minnesota driver's license in good standing is required
  • Must reside in Minnesota
