Job summary

Hallmark Healthcare of Pekin in Pekin, IL is seeking a compassionate Activity Assistant for a part-time day role to enrich residents’ lives through engaging activities, social interaction, and supportive care in a long-term care setting.

You will support planning calendars, prepare materials, encourage participation, and build positive relationships with residents and families while collaborating with the Activity Director and care team.

Qualifications

• CNA certification is required.
• One year of related experience preferred, especially in long-term care.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide activities focused on entertainment, exercise, fun, and relaxation for residents.
• Support the planning, scheduling, and execution of quality activities based on resident care plans.
• Assist with preparing activity calendars, communication materials, and resident activity documentation; encourage resident participation and engagement.
• Build positive relationships with residents and their families.
• Help create a warm, welcoming environment for residents.
• Work collaboratively with the Activity Director and interdisciplinary care team.
• Complete additional duties as assigned by management.

Your Role:
