Job summary

Deer Park Health and Rehab is seeking a dependable activities assistant to make a meaningful impact on our residents. You will help develop and deliver daily group and individual activities tailored to residents’ needs and interests.

Join our team to encourage participation, provide companionship, coordinate calendars, and collaborate with nursing staff, volunteers, and families to create a warm, engaging environment for seniors.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in activities, recreation, or working with seniors preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Creative, energetic, and compassionate personality.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Must be physically able to assist residents and set up activity areas.
• Availability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

Activities Assistant Qualifications

Preferred Skills

Schedule & Compensation:

• Part-time position two days a week, 12p-8p (flexible on the weekends)
• Competitive hourly wage based on experience
