Job summary

Heritage Senior Living in Mechanicsville, VA is seeking an Activities Assistant to enhance residents' daily lives through engaging programs. You will support planning and leading a variety of group and individual activities that promote well-being and social connection, while upholding the community's standards of care and dignity.

The role emphasizes a compassionate approach, teamwork, and reliable weekend availability.

Qualifications

• Must have passion for helping seniors.
• Desire to contribute to a positive atmosphere in the community for residents, family & friends, and all team members.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English; both oral and written.
• Ability to work every other weekend.

Responsibilities

• Plan and provide activities to enhance residents' mental, physical, spiritual, and social needs through assessments, enabling participation in the community.
• Assist with maintaining and expanding Volunteer Programs.
• Arrange transportation and escorts for residents to and from outside and community activities.
