Job summary

Encore Health Partners in Kentucky is seeking an Activities Assistant dedicated to supporting geriatric residents. You will help with grooming, assess activity readiness, coordinate volunteers, and assist with events, outings, and transportation to enhance resident well-being.

Qualifications include being a State Registered Nurse Aide (SRNA) and a high school diploma or GED. Strong communication and customer service skills are essential in this caregiving team environment.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with grooming before activities.
• Assess resident capabilities for activities and group programs.
• Recruit and maintain volunteers for activity programs.
• Assist Resident and Family Councils and relay concerns to staff.
• Assist with charitable fundraising activities as needed.
• Ensure daily delivery of resident mail and newspapers.
• Conduct daily activities, events, and in-room visits.
• Assist with resident outings and transportation.

Job duties:

The Activities Assistant will primarily be responsible for assisting with resident activities. These responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Assist residents with grooming needs prior to attending activities.
• Assess resident capabilities concerning activities and group programs.
• Assist in recruiting and maintaining volunteers to assist in activity programs.
• Assist the Resident and Family Councils and bring their concerns to the attention of the Administrator and other appropriate staff.
• Assist with all charitable fundraising activities as needed.
• Responsible for seeing that the resident mail and newspapers are sorted and delivered to the residents each day.
• Perform daily activities, special events, and in-room visits.
• Assist with resident outings.
• Assist with transportation.

Requirements:

• Must be a State Registered Nurse Aide (SRNA).
• Minimum of a high school diploma or completed a GED program preferred.
