Tutera Senior Living & Health Care in Overland Park, KS is hiring an Activities Assistant to support the Activities Director in planning and delivering engaging programs for residents.

You will assess residents' interests, organize activities, and help create a joyful daily routine that promotes social interaction and well-being. The role emphasizes compassion, clear communication, and teamwork within a supportive, family-owned culture.

Qualifications

• Experience planning and coordinating resident activities is preferred.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Professional image in appearance and behavior.
• One year of activity planning experience in LTC/SNF/AL/MC setting preferred.
• Activities Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Activities Director in assessment, selection, organization, and implementation of activities.
• Address individual resident needs and interests through recreation services.
• Maintain a positive, engaging environment for residents.

What Will You Do in This Role?

As an Activities Assistant, you will provide assistance to the Activities Director in the assessment, selection, organization, and implementation of activities and recreational services to address the individual needs and interests of the residents.

Do You Have What It Takes?

• A fire and passion for working with seniors
• A flexible, fun, and energetic personality
• Prior experience as an Activities Assistant in a LTC/SNF/AL/MC setting preferred
• Activities Certification preferred
• One year of experience conducting activities and recreational services within the past five years preferred
• Professional image in both appearance and behavior
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
