Sunset Rehab and Healthcare Center in Illinois is seeking an Activities Assistant to support the Activities Director by planning and implementing activities for Memory Hall residents, addressing individual needs and interests.

The role requires energy, a passion for seniors, flexible schedule including weekends, and prior LTC/SNF/AL experience preferred; certification preferred; strong communication and professionalism encouraged.

Qualifications

• Experience as an Activities Assistant in LTC/SNF/AL/MC setting preferred.
• Activities Certification preferred.
• One year of activity/recreational experience in the past five years preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Activities Director in assessing, selecting, organizing, and implementing activities for residents.
• Address the individual needs and interests of Memory Hall residents.
• Provide engaging, safe recreational services and document activity outcomes.

What Will You Do in This Role?

As an Activities Assistant, you will provide assistance to the Activities Director in the assessment, selection, organization, and implementation of activities and recreational services to address the individual needs and interests of the residents.

Do You Have What It Takes?

• A fire and passion for working with seniors
• A flexible, fun, and energetic personality
• Prior experience as an Activities Assistant in a LTC/SNF/AL/MC setting preferred
• Activities Certification preferred
• One year of experience conducting activities and recreational services within the past five years preferred
• Professional image in both appearance and behavior
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
