We are seeking an energetic, creative, and compassionate Activities Assistant to join our Life Enrichment team!
In this role, you will assist in planning, organizing, and leading a variety of engaging recreational, social, educational, and spiritual activities for our residents. If you love bringing joy, laughter, and meaningful connection to the lives of senior adults, this is the perfect opportunity for you.
Activity Execution: Lead group activities, social gatherings, games, crafts, music sessions, exercise groups, and special events tailored to residents' interests and abilities.
One-on-One Engagement: Provide meaningful individual visits and sensory stimulation activities for residents who prefer or require room-bound engagement.
Outings & Transportation: Assist with escorting residents on community outings, shopping trips, and local events (driving the community van/bus if qualified).
Setup & Cleanup: Prepare activity spaces, gather supplies, set up equipment prior to events, and ensure areas are clean and organized afterward.
Documentation & Input: Maintain attendance logs, track resident participation, and share ideas during activity planning meetings to keep our programming fresh and exciting.
Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
Experience: Previous experience working in senior living, long-term care, or recreation therapy is preferred, but an outgoing personality and a passion for working with seniors are most important!
Skills: High energy, creative spirit, strong interpersonal skills, musical or artistic talents are a plus, and basic computer skills for event planning and scheduling.
Certifications: Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record preferred (for resident transportation); CPR/First Aid certification is a plus.
