Job summary

Spring Oak is seeking a compassionate and energetic Activities Aide to support daily engagement and enrichment of residents in our senior living community. This role plays a vital part in enhancing quality of life through meaningful social, recreational, and wellness-focused programming.

You will help plan and run daily, evening, and weekend programs, develop spiritual, intergenerational, and recreational activities, and maintain the monthly calendar.

Qualifications

• Experience in senior living, recreation, and activities.
• Positive, outgoing, and patient demeanor.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to engage and motivate older adults with varying levels of ability.
• Team-oriented with a genuine passion for resident enrichment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing and leading spiritual, intergenerational, recreational, and entertainment-based activities.
• Help maintain and update the monthly activities calendar.
• Encourage resident participation and foster a warm, inclusive environment.
• Celebrate residents’ milestones, birthdays, holidays, and special achievements.
• Set up and break down activity spaces and ensure supplies are organized and available.
• Document participation and provide feedback to improve programming.
