Alpine Healthcare Center is seeking a compassionate Activities Assistant for the weekend shift. You will plan and run engaging activities to enhance residents' physical, emotional, and social well-being, working with the Activities Director to tailor programs.

The role emphasizes teamwork, hands-on activity leadership, and accurate record-keeping, with a supportive environment and opportunities to connect with residents and families.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; degree in recreation or related field preferred.
• Ability to work weekends (Fri, Sat, Sun).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt as needed.
• Able to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and implement activities, including arts/crafts, games, exercise programs, and social events.
• Collaborate with the Activities Director to develop and run resident programs.
• Assist with resident assessments to tailor activities to interests and abilities.
• Lead and participate in one-on-one and group activities with residents.
• Maintain records of participation and feedback.
• Build relationships with residents, families, and staff to create a positive environment.
• Support orientation and training of new staff members.

Job Title: Activities Assistant (Weekends - Friday, Saturday and Sunday)

Job Summary: We are seeking a compassionate and enthusiastic Activities Assistant to join our team at Alpine Healthcare Center. As an Activities Assistant, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our residents by planning and implementing engaging activities, social events, and programs to promote their physical, emotional, and social well-being. This is a part-time, weekend position.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and implement activities, including arts and crafts, games, exercise programs, and social events for our residents

• Collaborate with the Activities Director to develop and implement activity programs that meet the interests and needs of our residents

• Assist with resident assessments to identify their interests and abilities, and use this information to tailor activities to meet their needs

• Lead and participate in activities with residents, including one-on-one and group activities

• Maintain accurate records and reports of activities, including resident participation and feedback

• Develop and maintain relationships with residents, families, and staff to ensure a positive and engaging environment

• Support and assist with orientation and training of new staff members

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in recreation, or related field preferred
