Job summary

A highly motivated Activities Assistant is needed at Award Care to organize and lead resident activities on weekends. The role focuses on implementing planned activities and fostering a vibrant, inclusive community for residents and their families.

You will coordinate entertainment, crafts, games, and social events while supporting the daily routine under supervision. This position emphasizes compassion, reliability, and teamwork to enhance resident well-being.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Some experience providing recreation services to health care residents preferred.
• Must possess a current, unencumbered state driver's license.
• Candidate should be compassionate, dedicated and team-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Assist with resident activities, assessments, and activity profiles.
• Assist in scheduling movies, parties, and activities for residents.
• Encourage participation in recreational and social activities by organizing games, crafts, and events.
• Support the Community Life Director in expanding services.
• Contribute to innovative approaches improving systems and processes.

The primary purpose of your job position is providing the established plan for resident activities and recreation.

Major Responsibilities

• Assist with resident activities, assessments, and activities profiles.
• Assist in scheduling movies, planning parties, and providing games/activities for residents.
• Encourage residents to participate in recreational social activities so that all residents are involved in activities by engaging in and organizing games, crafts, religious services, parties, etc.
• Assist Community Life Director in expanding services.
• Provide innovative, responsible healthcare with the creation and implementation of new ideas and concepts that continually improve systems and processes to achieve superior results.

Qualifications

• Must possess, as a minimum, a high school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Some experience preferred in providing recreation services to residents in a health care setting.
• Must possess current unencumbered valid state driver's license.
• You must be qualified, compassionate, and dedicated to a job well done.
