Job summary

Galleria Woods Senior Living in Hoover, AL is seeking a passionate Activity Assistant to join our team on a part-time and per diem basis. Schedule: part-time every other weekend from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Pay rate: $14–$18 per hour based on experience.

Responsibilities include engaging residents, planning diverse activities, and supporting creation of calendars and materials. We offer a friendly, team-oriented environment with opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Associate degree preferred.
• At least 1 year of experience in activities, social services, recreational therapy, or healthcare setting.
• Background in music, art, or drama is a plus.
• Strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Engage and build relationships with senior residents.
• Plan and lead activities (games, concerts, exercise classes).
• Coordinate arts & crafts, bingo, outings, and decorating.
• Create flyers, calendars, and activity materials.
• Bring energy and enthusiasm to every day.

• Field trips, lunch and dinner outings
• Assist with creating flyers, calendars, and activity materials

What We’re Looking For
