Job summary

Wallick Senior Living is seeking a Caregiver to provide daily resident care and support in a full-time role. The position emphasizes compassionate service, safety, and collaboration with a caring team.

The role involves helping residents with personal care, medication administration under protocols, and promoting active participation in community activities. Training and growth are supported in a resident-focused, employee-owned environment.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • First aid training completed.
  • CNA license is a plus but not required.
  • Prior experience in assisted living is a plus.
  • Good communication with coworkers, residents, and families.
  • Ability to read and interpret work instructions.

Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional personal service and daily care to residents.
  • Provide physical care including hygiene and grooming.
  • Administer medications as prescribed under protocols.
  • Respond to call lights promptly and address residents’ needs.
  • Encourage resident participation in activities.
  • Assist residents to and from activities, dining, and events.
  • Assist lifting, turning, repositioning residents as needed.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

What You’ll Do
  • Provide exceptional personal service and daily care to residents.
  • Provides physical resident care to include all aspects of personal hygiene and grooming.
  • Administer medications, as prescribed, and under the guidelines of Medication administration & protocols.
  • Answers call lights in a timely manner and responds accordingly to the resident’s needs.
  • Motivates and encourages resident involvement in the participation in activities.
  • Assists residents to and from activities, dining room, and other functions within the community.
  • Lifting, turning, and re-positioning residents as needed.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
What We’re Looking For
  • Requires a high school diploma or GED.
  • Should be organized and self-motivated.
  • Completion of first aide training program.
  • Previous experience in an assisted living facility a plus.
  • Ability to communicate with co-workers, residents, and family members.
  • Ability to read and interpret work instructions.
  • Certified Nursing Assistant License a plus, not required
