Job summary

Imperialcresthc in Hawthorne, CA is seeking an Activities Assistant to support the Activities Director in planning, coordinating, conducting and implementing a therapeutic activity program for residents.

You will help keep residents engaged, plan outside activities, participate in monthly meetings, and adapt programs to meet individual needs, with a friendly, self-motivated personality and a dedication to creating a safe, dignified environment.

Qualifications

• Fully vaccinated against COVID-19, including Booster shots.
• At least 1 year of experience working in a skilled nursing facility is preferred.
• Applicants with an active C.N.A certificate preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in daily Activities to keep residents engaged and motivated.
• Plan and participate in outside activities with residents.
• Assist with monthly resident council meetings.
• Adapt recreation programs to meet residents' needs, interests, and capabilities.
• Direct and organize activities to help residents develop social skills and confidence.
• Be a self-starter with an outgoing personality to engage patients.

Education

CNA certification preferred

Activities Staff Requirements

Primary Activities Staff Responsibilities

• You will assist in the daily Activities throughout the day for our patients, keeping them engaged and motivated on a daily basis
• An active role in planning and participating in outside activities
• Assists with monthly resident council meetings
• Adapts recreation programs and regulates content of programs to meet the needs, interests, and capabilities of the residents and the facility
• Directs and organizes activities to assist residents to develop interpersonal relationships, to socialize effectively, and to develop confidence needed to participate in-group activities.
• Must be a Self-starter and self-motivated, with an entertaining and outgoing personality
• These qualities will carry over to our patients helping them to stay engaged and entertained

PAY SCALE:

Depending on a number of factors, including, but not limited to location, regularly scheduled work shift, knowledge, skills, experience, and expertise
