Providence Living at Pembroke Pines seeks an Activities Assistant to plan, coordinate, and evaluate resident activities, promoting engagement and a high quality of life. You will develop calendars, assist with scheduling trips, and lead group and one-on-one activities in a cheerful, professional manner.
The role emphasizes building genuine relationships with residents, maintaining safety, and supporting families while preserving residents’ dignity and privacy.

To perform this job successfully, the company believes that it is important for associates in this role to possess certain qualifications. The requirements below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
High School Diploma/GED and six (6) months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
Ability to speak effectively before groups of residents, other associates, or the public
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
Basic knowledge of internet software, spreadsheet software, and word processing software is a plus.
CPR/First Aid certification is a plus
Valid driver’s license
Must possess excellent people skills and a sincere appreciation of the elderly and their continued place in society
