Oakdale Seniors Alliance is seeking an Activities Assistant at Cranberry Place in Cranberry Township, PA. This part-time role focuses on creating engaging experiences for residents, planning monthly calendars of music, crafts, games, and social outings, and promoting social connection.

You will collaborate with the clinical and dining teams, encourage participation, document progress, and ensure a welcoming atmosphere.

Responsibilities

Job Opportunity: Activities Assistant (Part-Time)

Location: Cranberry Place – Cranberry Twp., PA Schedule: Part-Time (24 hours per week) | Requirement: Every other weekend

About the Role

Are you passionate about bringing joy and purpose to the lives of seniors? Cranberry Place is looking for a creative, high-energy Activities Assistant to join our team. In this role, you won't just be planning "activities"—you’ll be creating experiences that keep our residents socially connected, mentally sharp, and physically active.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan & Lead: Develop and implement a diverse monthly calendar of activities including music, crafts, games, and social outings.
• Engage: Foster a welcoming environment by encouraging resident participation and building one-on-one relationships.
• Coordinate: Organize special events, holiday celebrations, and community volunteer programs.
• Document: Maintain accurate records of resident participation and progress to ensure we are meeting their social and emotional goals.
• Collaborate: Work closely with the clinical and dining teams to integrate enrichment into the daily lives of our residents.

Qualifications

• Experience: Previous experience in life enrichment, activities, or recreation therapy (preferably in a Senior Living, SNF, or ALF setting) is a plus.
• Skills: Excellent communication, public speaking, and organizational skills.
• Personality: Upbeat, patient, and genuinely loves working with the elderly.
• Schedule: Must be available for 24 hours per week, including an every-other-weekend rotation.
