Job summary

Freedom Village at Brandywine is seeking a Lif e Enrichment Coordinator (full-time or part-time) to plan, schedule and coordinate meaningful activities for residents, promoting physical, mental and social well-being across Memory Care, Skilled Nursing and Personal Care settings.

Work alongside the Activities Team to deliver enriching programs, lead daily activities, and create monthly calendars while upholding community standards and a respectful, inclusive environment for a diverse resident

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associate’s degree preferred.
• Six (6) months experience working with seniors in activities/life enrichment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists with planning, coordinating activities: reality orientation, current events, discussion groups, sensory stimulation, cultural activities, religious services, special entertainment, outside trips, special events, and one‑to‑one visits, as indicated.
• Promote a healthy community culture for all residents and employees.
• Provide individual and group educational opportunities for residents and staff in disease prevention and wellness.
• Lead daily resident activities per Community standards.
• Assist with preparing and distributing monthly calendars according to Community standards.
• Plan and execute diverse and engaging programs to meet the needs of a diverse resident population.

Freedom Village at Brandywine is recruiting for a Full‑Time and a Part‑Time Life Enrichment Coordinator / Activities Coordinator. In this role you will be responsible planning, scheduling, and coordinating meaningful activities appropriate to the needs and interests of residents and conducive to their physical, mental and social well‑being. This position will actively engage residents in Memory Care, Skilled Nursing, and Personal Care, while working alongside the Activities Team to deliver enriching programs and activities throughout the community.

Here are a few of the daily responsibilities of an Activities Assistant:

• Assists with planning, coordinating activities: reality orientation, current events, discussion groups, sensory stimulation, cultural activities, religious services, special entertainment, outside trips, special events, and one‑to‑one visits, as indicated.
• Promote a healthy community culture for all residents and employees.
• Provide individual and group educational opportunities for residents and staff in the area of disease prevention and management in the holistic spirit of the Lifestyle and Health Services Wellness Program.
• Lead daily resident activities per our Community standards.
• Assist with preparing and distributing monthly calendars according to the Community standards.
• Plan and execute diverse and engaging programs to meet the needs of a diverse resident population including newly retired seniors seeking a carefree lifestyle, seniors in need of physical assistance, and seniors in varying stages of memory loss.

Here are a few of the qualifications we need you to have:

• High school diploma or GED required
• Associate’s degree preferred
• Six (6) months experience working with seniors in activities/life enrichment preferred
