Job summary

Heritage Hall Healthcare & Rehab Centers in Clintwood, VA is seeking an Activities Assistant who thrives on developing and implementing engaging resident activities in collaboration with the Activities Director.

You will lead and encourage group and individual activities, communicate effectively with diverse residents, and be available for night and weekend shifts as needed. This full-time role offers comprehensive benefits and opportunities to impact daily living for residents.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience directing individual and group activities.
• Prior healthcare experience.
• CNA license not required.
• A valid VA driver’s license.
• Ability to understand written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to work nights and weekends as needed.
• Strong communication with diverse types of people.
• Demonstrates leadership in activity planning and execution.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement and encourage resident activities in collaboration with the Activities Director.
• Direct activities for individuals and groups as part of daily programming.
• Engage and communicate with residents to enhance participation and well-being.
