Job summary

Heritage Hall is seeking an Activities Assistant to develop and implement resident activities in collaboration with the Activities Director. You will encourage resident participation and help create a warm, engaging environment for patients and families.

Ideal candidates have experience directing activities in healthcare, strong communication skills, and a valid VA driver’s license; CNA not required. Flexible scheduling including nights and some weekends is available.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Experience directing individual and group activities in healthcare settings preferred.
• CNA license not required.
• Must have a valid Virginia driver’s license.
• Ability to understand written and verbal instructions.
• Must be able to work nights and weekends as needed.
• Ability to communicate effectively with diverse types of people.
• Leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement resident activities in collaboration with the Activities Director.
• Encourage residents to participate in planned activities.
• Communicate with residents and families to ensure engagement and satisfaction.
• Schedule day and evening activities; may include weekends.
