Job summary

National Health Care Associates, Inc. operates Winship Green in Bath, Maine, seeking an Activities Assistant to plan and implement recreational and therapeutic activities for residents.

Your creativity and energy will help create a positive, engaging atmosphere and meaningful daily engagement. You will work with the Activities Director to develop monthly calendars, provide one-on-one support, document participation, and foster community.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a Long-Term Care or senior living setting is preferred but not required.
• Compassionate and empathetic nature.
• Ability to read, write and comprehend English.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, organizing, and executing activities for residents.
• Engage residents in arts, crafts, games, music, and other programs.
• Collaborate with the Activities Director to develop a monthly calendar.
• Provide one-on-one support for residents needing extra help.
• Foster community and social interaction among residents.
• Document participation and maintain records.

What You'll Do:

As an Activities Assistant, you have a crucial role in planning and implementing a variety of recreational and therapeutic activities. Your creative ideas and enthusiasm will contribute to fostering a positive and lively atmosphere for our residents.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in planning, organizing, and executing a diverse range of activities for residents
• Engage residents in arts and crafts, games, music, and other recreational programs
• Collaborate with the Activities Director to develop and implement a monthly activities calendar
• Provide one-on-one support for residents who may need additional assistance
• Foster a sense of community and social interaction among residents
• Document and maintain records of residents' participation in activities
