Job summary

National Health Care Associates, Inc. seeks an Activities Assistant at our Brentwood affiliate in Yarmouth, ME.

This full-time role (32 hrs/wk, Wed-Sat, roughly 8am–4:30pm) involves planning and implementing recreational and therapeutic activities to engage residents and their families. You will work with the Activities Director to build monthly calendars, lead arts, crafts, games, and music, provide one-on-one support, and help foster a warm, caring community.

Qualifications

• Experience in a Long-Term Care or senior living setting is preferred but not required.
• Compassionate and empathetic by nature.
• Interest in the therapeutic needs of the aged with ability to work with both.
• Ability to read, write and comprehend English.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, organizing, and executing a diverse range of activities for residents.
• Engage residents in arts and crafts, games, music, and other recreational programs.
• Collaborate with the Activities Director to develop and implement a monthly activities calendar.
• Provide one-on-one support for residents who may need additional assistance.
• Foster a sense of community and social interaction among residents.
• Document and maintain records of residents' participation in activities.

What You'll Do:

*Full time, 32 hrs per week / Wed - Sat (roughly 8am - 430pm) *

• $17.50 an hour *

As an Activities Assistant, you have a crucial role in planning and implementing a variety of recreational and therapeutic activities. Your creative ideas and enthusiasm will contribute to fostering a positive and lively atmosphere for our residents.

Rate of Pay

Up to USD $17.50/Hr.
