We are seeking a dependable, energetic, and compassionate Activities Assistant to help plan, coordinate, and facilitate activities and programs for our residents at Fayette Nursing and Rehab Center. As a key member of our team, you will enjoy working with older adults and be comfortable engaging residents with different interests, abilities, and needs.
Schedule:
Tuesdays and Thursdays: 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Every other weekend: 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Pay: $15.00 per hour
As an Activities Assistant, your responsibilities will include:
Assisting with planning and facilitating daily activities and programs
Encouraging residents to participate in activities and social events
Engaging residents through games, crafts, music, conversation, and other recreational activities
Assisting residents with participating in activities as needed
Helping prepare and organize activity materials and supplies
Providing friendly and positive interaction with residents
Supporting special events, celebrations, and group activities
Maintaining a safe, clean, and welcoming activity environment
Communicating resident participation, preferences, and concerns to the appropriate staff

Comfortable engaging with residents individually and in groups
Able to work independently and as part of a team
Previous experience working in a healthcare, senior living, or recreational setting is a plus
