Job summary

Sandy Springs Center For Nursing and Healing in Sandy Springs, GA is seeking a compassionate Activities Assistant to plan and lead engaging daily activities for residents. The role involves creativity, music and arts, and close guidance from the Activity Supervisor.

You will work with residents to meet social, recreational, and emotional needs, and will maintain accurate forms and progress notes while collaborating with a supportive team.

Responsibilities

Job Summary - Activities Assistant

We're seeking a compassionate, reliable, and enthusiastic activities assistant to lead daily planned activities for our residents. If you're someone who values creativity, enjoys music and the arts, and can organize engaging activities, we want to hear from you. In this role, you'll receive guidance and support from our Activity Supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Assisting the Activity Director to implement the activities program.
• Following the current activities schedule as directed.
• Providing one-on-one activities for bed-bound residents.
• Assisting residents with distributing and engaging in craft activities.
• Completing necessary forms, reports, and progress notes accurately.
• Identifying and addressing residents' spiritual, social, recreational, and emotional needs through routine interactions.

Requirements

• Strong teamwork skills.
• Preferred, but not required, experience working with the elderly population.
