Valley View Care Center in Grand Rapids, MI is hiring a Life Enrichment Activities Aide who will lead daily life enrichment activities and group programs for residents.

You will help schedule and transport participants to activities, assess resident interests, and help create engaging thematic displays throughout the facility.

Formación

• 1+ year of related experience in long term care preferred.
• Associates in Music or Recreational Therapy is preferred.
• Excellent customer service skills with a commitment to delivering Excellent, Passionate, Innovative care.
• You are a team player, dedicated to supporting your team and getting the job done.

Responsabilidades

• Lead group and one-on-one life enrichment programs.
• Encourage attendance and transport to life enrichment programs.
• Evaluate patients based on interests, abilities, and needs for meaningful programs.
• Develop and display thematically decorated environments for celebrations.
• Promote hospitality and excellent customer service in daily interactions with guests, families, and visitors.

The Life Enrichment Activities Aide delivers and leads life enrichment programs every day. Our calendar is filled with amazing and creative activities that bring fulfillment and joy. These activities have the dual purpose of being therapeutic and promoting both physical & mental health and well-being. We are always trying new fun ideas. You will earn: $16.85 per hour!

• Starting Wages: $16.00 per hour

We Need Your Help With These Scheduling Needs

• Full Time or Part Time available
• All shifts include rotating weekends and some holidays
• Flex shift - Days and Afternoons, with 1 evening shift per week

How You Will Help People Every Day

• You will assist and lead group and one-on-one life enrichment programs.
• You will encourage attendance and transport to and from life enrichment programs.
• You will evaluate patients according to their background, life enrichment interests, abilities, physical limitations, and needs for meaningful programs.
• You will develop and display thematic and holiday decorations throughout the facility.
• You will promote hospitality and excellent customer service in our every daily interaction with our guests, their families, and visitors. Through kind words and encouragement, you will promote a positive, healthy environment in which to heal and thrive.

What you will need to be part of our EPIC team:

• 1+ year of related experience in long term care preferred.
• Associates in Music or Recreational Therapy is preferred
• Excellent customer service skills with a commitment to delivering Excellent, Passionate, Innovative care!
• You are a team player, dedicated to doing what it takes to support your team members and get the job done.
