Job summary

Maryville is seeking an Activities Aide to engage residents in enjoyable, safe, and enriching activities onsite in Beaverton, OR. You will help plan, set up, and celebrate events throughout the year, collaborating with staff and volunteers.

The role emphasizes compassion, patience, and the ability to connect with residents and families. Weekend work may be required in this non-management, full-time position.

Qualifications

• Experience in long-term care settings.
• Experience with residents who have physical or cognitive disabilities, including dementia.
• Ability to work independently.
• Ability to build rapport with residents and families.

Responsibilities

• Assist in carrying out activity programs from the monthly calendar.
• Provide one-to-one programming for residents who cannot participate in groups.
• Coordinate with the activity director and staff to bring residents to activities.
• Assist in decorating for holidays and help with special events.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
