St. Joseph Residence is seeking an Activities Aide I for the day shift (9 a.m. - 4 p.m.) in New London, WI.

The role supports residents in our dietary/activities program, engaging in individual and group activities with guidance from the Activities Coordinator. Ideal candidate will be self-motivated, organized, and able to communicate effectively in writing and verbally. CPR/BLS certification is required within 60 days of employment, and you must meet the schedule including every other Saturday

Qualifications

  • Must have a valid driver's license.
  • Position requires CPR/BLS certification to be completed within the first 60 days of employment.

Description

Activities Aide I - Day shift: 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. Works every other Saturday and every other holiday.

St. Joseph Residence is a not-for-profit Catholic organization seeking a caring, compassionate, and responsible community member to join our dietary team as a dietary aide providing food services to our skilled nursing and assisted living community residents. We pride ourselves on our commitment to service in a faith-based environment, supporting and promoting resident and patient independence, respect, dignity and community.

Responsibilities Include:

Ideal candidate will be self-motivated and able to work independently, have good organizational skills, display effective communication skills (written and verbal), have the ability to push wheelchairs and is able to adapt well to change.

Critical thinking and the ability to assess resident needs and make recommendations to leadership based upon them is required for this position

This role is required to initiate and lead individual and group activities

Must be able to follow direction of Activities Coordinator and Activities Director with minimal supervision

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old

Must have a valid drivers license

Position requires a CPR/BLS certification to be completed within the first 60 days of employment. CPR must be in-person with an American Heart Association approved course

Availability to work every other Saturday's and alternating holiday schedule

Reliability: Must be punctual, have reliable attendance, and a good work ethic

Adaptability: Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Team Collaboration: Interpersonal skills and the ability to work and contribute to a positive team dynamic

Professional Representation: Maintain a professional demeanor and deliver exceptional customer service while representing the St. Joseph Residence organization and communities
