Job summary

Newfane Rehab and Healthcare Center in Town of Newfane, NY seeks a compassionate Activities Aide to support residents with engaging programs and social activities. You will help plan and run recreational events that meet residents' interests and promote well-being.

Ideal candidates are organized, able to lead others, and comfortable working in a team-oriented environment. A High School diploma or equivalent and reliable transportation are required; lifting up to 50 lbs is expected.

Qualifications

• Must be organized and able to lead others.
• Strong organizational and planning skills; ability to multi-task.
• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• General understanding of the needs of seniors.
• Ability to work in an environment conducive to care for residents without posing safety or health threats to self or others.
• Ability to work well with others and promote a team environment.
• Able to lift 50 lbs and stand for long periods of time.
