Apploi's skilled nursing facility is seeking a compassionate Activities Aide to create meaningful experiences for residents. The role assists in planning, organizing, and implementing recreational, social, and therapeutic activities that support physical, mental, and emotional well-being.

You will lead daily activities, encourage participation, document resident interests, and support events. A friendly, patient attitude and good communication and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Healthcare experience with seniors is a plus.
• Friendly, patient, and compassionate attitude.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to be creative and engage residents with varied interests.

Position Summary:

The Activities Aide assists in planning, organizing, and implementing recreational, social, and therapeutic activities designed to enhance the physical, mental, and emotional well-being of our residents. This role plays an important part in creating a fun, engaging, and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with planning and leading daily activities and events for residents

• Encourage resident participation in group and one-on-one activities

• Help set up and clean up activity areas and materials

• Escort residents to and from activities when needed

• Support special events, holiday celebrations, and outings

• Document participation and communicate resident interests to the Activities Director
