Newfane Rehab and Healthcare Center seeks an Activities Aide to engage residents through recreational programs and events. You will help plan activities, assess interests, and support a caring team in a senior-focused environment.

Ideal candidates are organized, can lead peers, and communicate well, with a high school diploma and reliable transportation. This on-site role offers a collaborative, compassionate workplace with opportunities to recognize and celebrate residents' lives.

We are in search of an Activities Aide.

Some Responsibilities Include:

• Assist in running recreational programs that meet the interests of the residents
• Engage new residents to determine their interests
• Assist in running monthly festivities and parties at the facility

Requirements:

• Must be organized and have the ability to lead others
• Strong organizational and planning skills; ability to multi-task
• High School diploma or equivalent required
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• General understanding of the needs of seniors
• Ability to work in an environment conducive to caring for residents without posing a substantial safety or health threat to self or others
• Ability to work well with others and promote a team environment
• Able to lift 50 lbs and stand for long periods of time
