Job summary

Sprenger Health Care, Amherst Manor in Amherst, OH, seeks an Activities Assistant to lead group activities, transport residents, and help plan and coordinate recreation programs for residents across care settings.

The ideal candidate holds a HS diploma (or higher in related field) with 2+ years in patient activities; driving license preferred. The role offers a competitive wage and benefits including health insurance, 401k, tuition reimbursement, and PTO.

Qualifications

• High School diploma and 2+ years of experience in a patient activities program in a health care setting.
• OR has college degree in or actively working toward a degree in Recreation, Gerontology, Nursing Home Administration, Nursing, Occupational Therapy, or Occupational Therapy Assistant with a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate group programs as assigned in a timely and efficient manner.
• Assist in transporting residents to and from activities.
• Assist with planning and leadership of recreation programs.
• Promote facility programs to residents, staff, family and volunteers.
