Job summary

Lions Gate is seeking a compassionate Activities Aide to engage residents with dementia through meaningful, person-centered activities in a Skilled Nursing setting.

The role emphasizes group and one-on-one activities, collaboration with nursing and social services, and weekend/evening coverage to support resident well-being.-State mandated flu vaccination is required, and background checks will be completed.

Qualifications

• Compassionate, patient, and able to redirect residents in a positive and supportive manner.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills required.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Dependable, creative, and able to lead small group activities.
• Must pass background checks and meet facility requirements.
• Flu shot required by state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Engage residents in group programs, one-on-one activities, sensory stimulation, music, art, movement, and other structured programs.
• Assist in planning, preparing, and setting up activity materials and spaces.
• Encourage resident participation while promoting dignity, safety, and comfort.
• Document resident participation and report changes in behavior or engagement.
• Work with nursing, social services, and other departments to support resident well-being.
• Support weekend and evening program coverage as scheduled.

Activities Aide – Skilled Nursing

Schedule:

• Every other weekend: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
• One evenings per week: 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM

We are seeking a compassionate, enthusiastic Activities Aide to join our team in Skilled Nursing. The ideal candidate will have prior experience working with individuals living with dementia and a strong understanding of how to engage residents in meaningful, person-centered activities.

Responsibilities:

• Engage residents in group programs, one-on-one activities, sensory stimulation, music, art, movement, and other structured programs
• Assist in planning, preparing, and setting up activity materials and spaces
