Job summary

Lions Gate is seeking a compassionate Activities Aide to support residents in a Skilled Nursing setting. The role focuses on engaging residents living with dementia through meaningful, person-centered activities and collaborative care with nursing and social services.

• Compassionate, patient and able to redirect residents in a positive and supportive manner.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Dependable, creative and able to lead small group activities.
• Must be able to pass background checks and meet facility requirements.
• Flu shot is mandatory per state requirements.

• Assist in planning, preparing, and setting up activity materials and spaces.
• Encourage resident participation while promoting dignity, safety and comfort.

• Work collaboratively with nursing, social services, and other departments to support resident well-being.
• Support weekend and evening program coverage as scheduled.

• Every other weekend: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
• One evenings per week: 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM
