Brookside Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in Montgomery County is seeking an energetic Activities Aide to join our Activities program. You will create a stimulating and engaging environment for residents, promoting their physical, emotional, and social well-being through arts, games, and therapeutic activities.
As part of the team you will support the Activities Director, develop diverse programs, and collaborate with nursing, therapy, and social services to ensure comprehensive care.
Full-time shift, 12 pm - 8 pm, including every other weekend

As an Activities Aide, you will play a vital role in creating a stimulating and engaging environment for our residents, promoting their physical, emotional, and social well-being. Assist the Activities Director in planning, organizing, and implementing recreational and therapeutic activities for residents, including arts and crafts, games, exercise classes, and social events
Develop and lead activities that cater to the diverse needs and interests of our residents
Collaborate with other departments, including nursing, therapy, and social services, to ensure a comprehensive approach to care
Maintain accurate records of activities, attendance, and resident feedback
Performs other duties as assisigned

Experience working with the elderly and/or physically challenged in a Healthcare setting is required
Must be creative and compassionate with prior proven experience working as an Activity Assistant
Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively with residents, families, and staff
