Winchester Rehabilitation and Nursing Center is looking for an Activities Aide to join our team! This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for someone interested in working with seniors, recreation, activities, or healthcare. No previous activities experience is require; we provide training!
As an Activities Aide, you’ll help create meaningful and enjoyable experiences for our residents by supporting daily activities, special events, entertainment, outings, and holiday programs. You’ll have the opportunity to build relationships with residents while helping create a warm, engaging community.
Assist with planning and leading recreational and social activities for residents.
Encourage and motivate residents to participate in activities based on their interests and abilities.
Help coordinate games, crafts, music, entertainment, celebrations, and special events.
Assist residents with getting to and from activities safely.
Accompany residents on special events and community outings when needed.
Create a welcoming and positive environment where residents feel included and engaged.
Prepare activity rooms, supplies, and equipment before and after programs.
Organize and maintain activity supplies and equipment.
Encourage family participation and help create opportunities for residents and their loved ones to connect.
Work closely with the activities team and other facility staff to support resident needs.

We're looking for someone who is:

Organized and willing to learn.
Able to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
Previous experience working with seniors, recreation, activities, or healthcare is a plus, but not required.
$17.00–$20.00 per hour, based on experience.
