Job summary

Winchester Rehabilitation and Nursing Center is seeking an Activities Aide to develop and support recreational programs, group activities, and special events for residents. You will help meet residents' interests and needs while maintaining a positive and inclusive environment.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write, and speak English.
• Positive, energetic, compassionate, and dependable attitude.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Develop and carry out recreational programs, group activities, special entertainment, and holiday events.
• Support, encourage, and motivate residents to participate in activities.
• Transport residents to and from activities as needed.
• Accompany residents to special events and trips outside the facility.
• Facilitate activities while maintaining awareness of all participating residents.
• Clean up after activities and prepare supplies and spaces for upcoming programs.
• Assemble, dismantle, organize, and store equipment and supplies used for recreational programs.
• Communicate with residents' families as needed and encourage family involvement in activities.
• Promote a positive, welcoming, and inclusive environment for all residents.
