We are seeking a compassionate and organized Activities Aide to join our team at Burlington Health & Rehabilitation Center. As an Activities Aide, you will play a vital role in developing and carrying out recreational programs, group activities, special entertainment, and holiday events to meet the needs of residents.
Develop and carry out recreational programs, group activities, special entertainment, and holiday events to meet the needs of residents
Support, encourage, and motivate residents to attend activities
Transport residents to and from activities as needed
Accompany residents to special events and trips outside the facility
Facilitate activities while ensuring the safety and well-being of all residents
Clean up after each activity and prepare for the next activity
Assemble, dismantle, and store equipment and supplies used in the recreation program
Communicate with families as necessary and encourage their involvement
Must be able to read, write, and speak English
High school diploma or equivalent
Previous experience and demonstrated interest in working with seniors preferred
Ability to work the required hours and rotation
Compassionate, dependable, and organized
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
