Sunny View in Warwick, RI is seeking a part-time Activities Assistant to join our long-term care team. You will lead recreational and therapeutic activities designed to enhance residents' physical, mental, and social well-being.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• CPR and First Aid certification; Basic Life Support (BLS) preferred but not required.

• Encourage participation in events, especially for residents with cognitive impairments like dementia.
• Transport residents to and from activity areas, set up and clean up activity spaces, and distribute monthly activity calendars.
• Document resident participation levels, moods, and behaviors to evaluate progress and meet regulatory requirements.
• Assist the Activities Director in developing monthly event calendars and individual care plans.

Standard Requirements and Qualifications
