Highlands Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center is seeking an Activities Assistant to support the activity program for residents at our Laporte, PA facility. The role includes planning, organizing, and implementing activities and events with supervision from the Activity Director.

Qualifications

• Experience in planning and executing community or resident activities.
• Creative, outgoing personality with ability to motivate participation.
• Ability to maintain records of resident participation and calendar events.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, developing, organizing, and implementing the activities program.
• Record and maintain residents' participation records.
• Coordinate with outside activities and groups for residents.
• Conduct scheduled activity programs according to the monthly calendar.
• Assist residents to and from activity areas.
• Assist with Resident Council Meetings.

Highlands Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center is a 120 bed long term care facility located at 918 Main Street, Laporte, PA.

We are currently looking for a full-time Activities Assistant that will include every other weekend and every other holiday.

Applicants will assist in the planning, developing, organizing and implementing the activity program under the supervision of the Activity Director. The ideal candidate should be creative, have an outgoing personality and be able to motivate our residents to participate in activities and events.

What will you do as an Activities Assistant:

• Assist in planning, developing, organizing, and implementing the activities program
• Assist in the recording and maintaining records of resident's participation in activities
• Assist with outside activities and groups for the residents
• Conducts the scheduled activity programs in a timely manner according to the monthly activity calendar
• Assists residents to and from the area where the scheduled activity is held
• Assist with Resident Council Meetings
