Job summary

Highlands Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center in Laporte, PA is seeking a full-time Activities Assistant who will support the activity program, including every other weekend and holiday. You will motivate residents to participate and help plan events.

The role involves assisting with calendars, recording participation, coordinating with external groups, and helping residents move to activity spaces. We value creativity and an outgoing personality.

• Assist in planning, developing, organizing, and implementing the activities program
• Record and maintain records of residents' participation in activities
• Coordinate with outside activities and groups for the residents
• Conduct scheduled activity programs in a timely manner according to the monthly activity calendar
• Assist residents to and from the activity areas
• Assist with Resident Council Meetings

Job description

Highlands Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center is a 120 bed long term care facility located at 918 Main Street, Laporte, PA.

We are currently looking for a full-time Activities Assistant that will include every other weekend and every other holiday.

Applicants will assist in the planning, developing, organizing and implementing the activity program under the supervision of the Activity Director. The ideal candidate should be creative, have an outgoing personality and be able to motivate our residents to participate in activities and events.

What will you do as an Activities Assistant:

• Assist in planning, developing, organizing, and implementing the activities program

• Assists residents to and from the area where the scheduled activity is held
• Assist with Resident Council Meetings
