Job summary
The People Brand in Newport Beach, CA is seeking an Associate Designer to support the development of innovative activewear and lounge collections. You will work closely with the Senior Designer through trend research, concept development, and production handoff.
Ideal candidates bring a solid understanding of garment construction and proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop, with a passion for fashion, product development and design.
Qualifications
- Ideal candidate understands garment construction and is proficient in Illustrator and Photoshop.
- Passion for fashion, product development and design.
- Ability to work closely with Senior Designer through all design stages.
Responsibilities
- Partner with the Senior Designer to support all aspects of design and product development for activewear and lounge collections.
- Research seasonal trends, colors, fabrics, trims and prints to inform concepts.
- Create sketches, CADs, color palettes and design presentations using Illustrator.
- Assist with print development, artwork setup, recoloring and colorway updates.
- Source and organize fabric, trim and print inspiration.
- Create style numbers, technical packages and related documentation for handoff to the technical design team.
- Maintain and update tech packs, BOMs, and revisions.
- Assist with lab dip reviews, color approvals and fittings.
