Job summary

Beach Riot LLC in Newport Beach, CA is seeking an Associate Designer to support the design team in developing innovative Active and Lounge collections. The role suits a fashion design professional with a sharp eye for trends, color, and details.

You will partner with Senior Designers on all design and product development steps, prepare tech packs, and maintain seasonal color palettes in Illustrator, while staying organized in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design or related field.
• 2+ years of relevant experience in fashion design and product development.
• Proficiency in Illustrator, Photoshop, Google Sheets and Google Docs.
• Strong creativity, sketching skills, and eye for color, print, and detail.
• Solid understanding of garment construction.
• Knowledge of swimwear or activewear preferred.
• Highly organized and able to manage multiple projects and priorities.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Senior Designers on all design and product development across Active and Lounge.
• Assist with lab dips, print strike-offs, and color approvals.
• Update seasonal trackers reflecting design changes and color approvals.
• Research trends in fashion, color, print, and market directions.
• Source fabric, trim, and print inspiration for concepts.
• Sketch new designs under Senior Designers' direction.
• Create tech packs and construction pages for handoff to Technical Design.
• Maintain BOM changes and colorways in tech packs.
