Job summary

Bay Aging is seeking a full-time Coordinator at the Active Lifestyle Center in Gloucester, VA. The role directs daily center activities, supervises staff and volunteers, and oversees Meals on Wheels routes within the service area.

The coordinator coordinates activities for seniors, leading programs such as fitness, crafts, nutrition education and guest speaking, while ensuring proper reporting and participant file maintenance.

Qualifications

• Require a High School diploma.
• 3 to 5 years of experience in activity coordination, senior care, disability care management or related field.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Direct the daily activities of the Active Lifestyle Center at Gloucester (40%).
• Oversee daily operations of Meals on Wheels routes in the center’s service area (40%).
• Recruit and supervise volunteers under RSVP; manage volunteer drivers and documentation.
• Coordinate activities and programs for participants including fitness, crafts, nutrition education and guest speakers.
• Prepare and submit monthly reports; maintain participant files and assist with RSVP events.
