Toothio in Tempe, AZ is hiring an Activation Specialist to connect with dental professionals and fill shifts. The role balances outbound outreach with hands-on marketplace operations to keep campaigns running and coverage reliable.

You’ll work in a fast-paced startup, making high-volume calls, delivering friendly service, and solving scheduling challenges. In-office Monday-Thursday with remote Fridays, you’ll report to the Director of Operations and help grow Toothio’s staffing network.

About the Role

As an Activation Specialist, your primary mission is to connect with dental professionals and get shifts filled. Roughly half your time will be spent on outbound calls and direct outreach, while the other half will focus on managing shift campaigns and day-to-day marketplace operations.

Responsibilities

• Professional Outreach: Make outbound calls to dental professionals across the platform. Build rapport, answer questions, remove barriers, and help professionals get booked onto shifts.
• Shift & Campaign Management: Manage and monitor shift fill campaigns across markets. Ensure shifts are staffed, follow up on open needs, and coordinate with practices to confirm coverage.
• User Support: Serve as a frontline point of contact for dental professionals and practices via phone, text, and email - resolving issues quickly and escalating when needed.
• Market Coordination: Support operations in designated markets alongside the central operations team.

Requirements

• Phone Confidence: You're comfortable making a high volume of outbound calls daily. You don't shy away from the phone - you prefer it.
• Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication. You can build trust with a stranger in under two minutes.
• Work Ethic: You're a self-starter who takes ownership. When there are shifts to fill, you find a way.
• Positive Energy: Professional, friendly, and solutions-driven. Dental professionals should feel excited to work with Toothio after talking to you.
• Adaptability: Comfortable in a fast-paced startup environment where priorities shift and you're expected to keep up.

Nice to Have

• Experience in recruiting, staffing, sales, or any high-volume outbound calling role.
• Familiarity with CRMs, Aircall, or similar call management tools.
• Identifying and communicating process improvements comes naturally to you

Other Important Details

Employment Type: Full-time

Location: Tempe, AZ (In-office Monday-Thursday, remote Fridays). Candidates should be based in or willing to commute within the Greater Phoenix metro area.

Scheduling: Standard scheduling is typically 8am-5pm, though flexibility for earlier (7am-3pm) or later (10am-6pm) shifts is a plus based on operational needs.

Compensation: $60,000 annually
